Apparat - A Violent Sky

Apparat has been the face of the German electronic music scene for a number of years now, so it was no surprise when he was recently enlisted by Sebastian Hartmann to help create music for his upcoming theatre production of Tolstoy’s War & Peace.

Taking tender undertones commonly found within the intro of many Sigur Rós songs, in addition to a slowly building, yet soft vocal-ladened backdrop, “A Violent Sky” makes for a stunningly beautiful score piece.

Recorded within an old abandoned factory with a 30-piece ensemble, Apparat has been able to transition his more electronically rich background into a very impressive act of theatrical scoring, we wouldn’t been surprised to see Mr. Ring taking on a number of similar projects in the future.
