What's This?

Rising singer-songwriter Artemis is preparing the release of her forthcoming debut EP, Glow4mepls, what’s sure to be a swoon-worthy R&B-pop effort that will steal your hearts. The native Vancouver soloist is currently based in Montreal, but collaborated with a few Vancouver locals to produce her latest single “Hot Sand.” Featuring Winona Forever‘s Ben Robertson and Schwey bassist/vocalist Isaiah Terrell-Dobbs, “Hot Sand” is a slinky, electro-funk guitar ballad that drifts like a warm summer day. Artemis hovers above the instrumental with a powerful alto soul that echoes the music of Kali Uchis and Rayvn Lenae when she sings, “I feel myself float into the sky/ When I’m looking into your eyes”.

Watch the music video above, which was directed, edited and choreographed by the multi-talented Artemis and shot in the Greater Vancouver area.
