What's This?

Harlem’s Braxton Cook is in a good position to become the breakout jazz act of 2017. Formerly known for his stellar sax playing and on-point collabs with Butcher Brown and Christian Scott, Braxton Cook includes his own voice and songwriting on his Fresh Selects debut, Somewhere In Between. He’s shared two single off the record so far: the tender love song “I Can’t” along with the record’s fantastic title track. Recorded in Brooklyn, this sublime soul jazz cut captures Braxton Cook coming into his own as a vocalist. His hooks are tight, just shy of Frank Ocean-smooth, perfectly complimenting his ecstatic sax riffs.

Somewhere In Between is out April 13. Listen to the lead single below.
