What's This?

Back in January Bronx rapper Caleb Giles quietly dropped There Will Be Rain, the follow-up project to his 2017 debut Tower. The 20 year-old MC has takes his sample-based lo-fi productions to surreal new heights on this second full-length.

Collaborating with Slauson Malone, Tableman, and Crown Heights’ Standing On The Corner on a handful of tracks, Caleb Giles otherwise makes his own beats. The few solo efforts found on There Will Be Rain, like “Slide,” “Changes,” and “Impatient,” are some of the project’s strongest. “The Flood” and “Wondering” are also solid contributions to the LP (Caleb raps and plays sax with the Standing On The Corner live band). Stream There Will Be Rain below. It’s a vibe.
