Enigmatic electronic producer Chicken often employs his love for mainstream pop on frenzied club edits (check out his deliriously odd remix of No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak”). On one his newest efforts, Chicken puts his pop-savvy skills to work with a lo-fi industrial R&B production by way of Blood Orange for Queens rapper-singer Dai Burger. Known for her club-ready selections and edgy, confrontational rhymes, Dai Burger exercises a softer, more subdued flow for the collab, channeling the essence of Britney Spears. (Coincidentally, Chicken remixed Britney’s “Make Me” six months back.) Listen to “Roses” below.
