What's This?

Aside from the great food, amazing architecture, blissful weather, ocean and people found in Lisbon, Portugal, I’ve also heard great things about the city of Porto.

Yes aside from the great port wine, the northern Portuguese city is also known for its rich culture. And like the capital, Porto hosts a number of festivals during the summer season like Primavera Sound, including another recent discovery–ELÉTRICO: Porto Music Experience.

Taking place at Parque da Pasteleira, ELÉTRICO is a music, art, and technology festival that was born from the energy, culture, and character of the city. More than a festival, it’s a shockwave of culture to celebrate the day, the sun, the outdoors, and nature. It’s open to all ages, with music ranging from jazz and techno, soul and funk, and house.

The lineup is made up of artists such as Honey Dijon, Larry Heard aka MR Fingers, Mafalda, Nightmares On Wax, Peggy Gou, Rhadoo, Thomas Franzmann (aka Zip) and many more.

A vehicle of emotions associated with the traditional tram (“Elétrico” is also the Portuguese word for “Tram”), connecting Porto’s past with its future, the old with the new, as well as a fresh and irreverent state of mind that Porto is developing in the dynamics of the city.

Tickets, schedule and all the info about the artist can be found here.
