What's This?

R&B newcomer Feeniks is one of our favorite new acts. The Los Angeles-based vocalist flaunts a fresh, beautifully distinguished sound on his newly released string of singles. Feeniks delivers dramatic, old school flow on tracks like “Back & Forth,” which samples the lyrics and melody of the classic Aaliyah single. It’s a searing-hot soul jam, enough to make you swoon or break out in a cold sweat. Feeniks teamed up with Swarvy (of lojii and Swarvy) for the joint, a dependably dope collaboration that goes back to last year’s “Letluv” from Swarvy’s Blends, Vol. 1.

Check out “Fallyn For You” (where Feeniks dons his best Kali Uchis swag) and “DQU”, also produced by Swarvy. The singles were released on L.A. indie imprint Akashik Records.
