What's This?

As a co-founder and the first artist to release on Eglo Records, Sam Shepherd (aka Floating Points) has proven to be a driving force of Cameroon-based independent electronic label. After a few years of relative inactivity, Shepherd capped off 2014 with summer’s jazz-addled techno anthem “King Bromeliad,” its B-side “Montparnasse,” and the “Sparkling Controvery” single–now gifting the greater IDM community with the 12″ single “Nuits Sonores” and its percolated counterpart “Nectarines.” Deviating from the traditional full-length album format, Floating Points seems most comfortable trickling out singles at his own pace, leaving his fans in constant anticipation for that next fresh techno grind. Stream “Nuits Sonores” and B-side “Nectarines” below and purchase the 12″ on vinyl here.
