What's This?

London electronic musician Four Tet has updated a public Spotify playlist with a number of tracks that originate from the seven Middle Eastern and African countries banned from entering the United States according to Trump’s new executive order on immigration. The countries include Yemen, Iran, Syria, Lybia, Somalia, Iraq, and Sudan. Four Tet is the child of a South African-born Indian immigrant, and in 2013 and 2015 he contributed production to releases by Omar Souleyman, a prolific Syrian performer and songwriter. Tet features Souleyman among acts like Rahim AlHaj, Martik, Kourosh Yaghmaei, and Naji Barakat on the updated playlist.
