What's This?

Chances are that the latest track from HONNE will seem strangely familiar, and that is because it is in fact a cover of Darondo’s popular 1973 single “Didn’t I.” On this track, HONNE offer up their own unique version of the classic tune, infusing their distinctive brand of silky R&B into the lovelorn lyrics. The kick-backed beats and sleek sythesizers carry the duo’s gentle harmonies, and provide us with a nostalgic, yet striking track.

“Didn’t I” comes to us just as the British pair have begun gearing up towards the release of their new EP, Coastal Love, out on May 4. Having already released the title track, it seems that HONNE is on track to maintain their commitment to smooth R&B-infused electronica. Such polished sounds are likely to be the perfect pairing for the late summer nights ahead.
