Britain’s indie scene has been exploding with talent in recent months, and only a couple weeks ago we came across one artist that literally blew us away! The lady behind this recent surge of talent is a soft-spoken red-head from the town of Warwickshire, England by the name of Lucy Rose.
Rose, a very new act in the singer/songwriter world, caught our attention with her most recent single, “Red Face.” Hosting a vast array of dynamics and a very loud-and-proud intro, “Red Face” is a heavily impassioned rock track that we’re just eating up. While there is a very explosive chorus and wide-spanning outro, “Red Face,” at its core, is still a very soft single that effortlessly flows through its three and a half minutes. Between the stomping bass and Lucy‘s soft, complimentary vocals, it is very hard not to love this track!
Although Lucy has already released a number of acoustic pieces on her Soundcloud, this most recent single certainly stands amongst the rest. Oh, and one last thing, did we mention that Lucy was a staple in Bombay Bicycle Club before starting her solo career?! Here’s to hoping we hear a little Bombay influence in her forthcoming album!
