What's This?

We’re thrilled to premiere a track from the the forthcoming full-length album by NYC avant-garde trio Sontag Shogun. Lush electronic arrangements take shape over crashing waves of seraphic, wordless vocals on, “Sonar,” a slowly-building meditative synth epic that feels equal parts uplifting and grave. In the impossible span of three and half minutes, Sontag Shogun succeed in creating a stark sonic world as surreal and as personal as any lucid dream.

Sontag Shogun’s new record Patterns For Resonant Space is out July 28th on vinyl and digital via Youngbloods. The band’s album release party is tonight at Queens’ Knockdown Center. Check out more tour dates below.
