What's This?

Lo-fi vocal arrangements and dreamy, washed out guitar lines make up Aerin Fogel’s self-titled debut, Queen of Swords, a darkly poignant and achingly pretty reintroduction from the Toronto-based musician.

After four unsuccessful attempts to make the record, Fogel finally succeeded in finishing the album in just two and half weeks, with the help of co-producer Bobb Bruno (of Best Coast) during a time of personal turmoil. Says Queen of Swords, “I hope some of these songs can reach others in the places that feel most unreachable, and to be a point of connection and understanding in a world climate where connection is a radical act.” We’re delighted to premiere the Queen of Swords album with one of our favorite tracks of the week, the beautiful “A Room In Your Cathedral”.
