What's This?

Boston folktronica duo Skinny Bones have come a long way since their debut release, Skinni Dip. On their forthcoming full-length, Ponta Delgada, the band has more or less ditched the familiar acoustic rock structures and indie rock antics of their initial offerings. Skinny Bones’ newest carnation is far less grounded, inspired by the bold electronic experimentalism of producers like Arca and Andy Stott. We’re incredibly pleased to premiere the second single and accompanying video from Ponta Delgada, “Dropped Bench Press.” Directed by Eli Susser, the video offers a striking interpretation of the dramatic dance number. Captured in strange, surreal, vibrant scenes that often take a horrifying/disgusting/absolutely cringeworthy turn for the worst.

Happy Halloween, folks!
