What's This?

Brooklyn-based electronic producer Soft Glas is readying his new EP, Late Bloom, the followup to last year’s dos EP. Based on tracks he’s unveiled so far, the new release should be a huge hit. The EP’s first single, “Humid,” features Indie Current favorite Alex Szotak on bass and co-production duties. The instrumental’s downtempo nature is off-set by its abundance of sonic ideas–jazz, trap, dub and ambitious electronica.

On the most recent Soft Glas single, “Somewhere,” Szotak similarly features on bass, Brooklyn producer and singer-songwriter Fishdoll contributes vocals and Cautious Clay offers a lush saxophone solo. It’s Fishdoll’s brilliant hook that really takes this track to a special place.
