It has become very evident between all the remixes, that everyone far and wide has had their take on what appears to be the biggest hit of 2011 – M83‘s “Midnight City“. From remixes by Eric Prydz to ParickReza, there is no doubt that many have done it well, but it wasn’t until The Knocks newest set of work that we have seen a cover. With the helping hand of Mandy Lee, The Knocks have made their take of “Midnight City” into a easy-moving pop ballad. 80′s synths aside, The Knocks drop a leading set of electronics, a rising build of house beats, and a level hook — all of which flow to Mrs. Lee‘s tender vocals. The end result of all of this, is one catchy and poppin’ cover that will have us dancing for a while… well at least until the next cover comes around.
