Video: Friendly Fires – “Why Don’t You Answer?”

If you are like us and missed the release of Friendly Fires‘ addition to the Late Night Tales series earlier this year, it has finally come time to redeem yourself and linkup with the first official video from the most recent Late Night tape.

Originally put together by Sting and Eberhard Schoener in 1981, Friendly Fires‘ cover the highly retro single, “Why Don’t You Answer?,” with smokey synths and sputtering beats. By melding it into a funky rendition with highly stylized electronics and an unforgiving wave of plucking bass, Friendly Fires‘ are able to reinvent the single and give it a very enriching touch of modern production abilities, whilst keeping that “old-school” vibe intact.
