What's This?

Following the announcement of their third full-length, Plowing Into The Field Of Love, Copenhagen’s Iceage have given us a video for the album’s lead single, “Forever.” For many, it may seem the once punk rockers are deserting the hardcore menace they embraced with 2011’s New Brigade and 2013’s You’re Nothing, but we’re quite thrilled by the idea of a new direction for the band.

While guitars nod to the same, somnolent rings of Nick Cave’s The Firstborn Is Dead, there it would seem, a greater focus on dynamics lead by a hissing drum arrangement; Elias still whimpering the vocal lines in the most languid, dallying fashion we’ve always loved. And if an onslaught of trumpet wailing is your kind of thing, you’ll undoubtedly enjoy the closing minute. Plowing Into The Field Of Love is set for release this October.
