We’re a sucker for anything out of the Future Classic camp, but even more of a sucker for anything out of the Basenji camp—which just so happens to be the same place. It’s no surprise, then, that we’re gushing over the Aussie’s charming new single, “Can’t Get Enough.”
With his last release, “Petals,” Basenji took a chance with his countrymen Scenic, and as far as I can tell, it paid off. On “Can’t Get Enough,” he continues to push the boundaries with a production that doesn’t seem constrained to any particular sound or style. Rather, the song fuses the producer’s playful trap stylings with Brasstracks‘ inventive horn arrangement and what sounds like it could be the angelic harp work of Active Child. In other words, good vibes all around.
