Beach Youth are a Caen-based indie-pop outfit that first appeared on these walls back in April. At the time, we were captivated with their sun-soaked track “Waves,” but it’s been some time now since we last heard from the group. Luckily, though, they’ve reemerged with a new single, “Days.”
Taking a different approach to songwriting, the boys settle on a mix of playful guitars and airy vocals. It’s surf-pop at its finest, with subtle hints of shoegaze and tropical undertones for good measure. As you might have expected, though, we aren’t the only ones who have taken note of this talented four-piece; “Days” will be featured on a compilation entitled, American Sole, which will be released on October 27th via Plastic Fish Records—a newly established indie label based in Leeds.
