What's This?

A couple of years ago, Brussels-based band BRNS caught our attention with a ferocious little earworm entitled “Mexico.” Since that time, the band have gone through a small transition period and reigned in their sound, as evidenced by their latest single, “Many Chances.” Rather than using their music as an outlet for their pain and aggression, BRNS have chosen to use their music as an outlet for their own creative endeavours. “Many Chances” is an intriguing medley of bells, airy guitars and weightless vocals, starkly contrasting anything found on their enigmatic debut, Wounded. Although they’ve always managed to find themselves in the realm of art-rock, their latest string of singles feel much more enterprising, drawing comparisons to the dearly departed, Darcys. And if that’s not a good enough reason to check these guys out, I don’t know what is.
