Richmond, Virginia is a hotbed of indie rock right now, and it has become a must-do tour stop for all sorts of guitar acts. A good part of why bands want to play the southern city is because of outfits like Camp Howard.
This is a group whose 2017 debut studio recording, the Juice EP, saw them swept up and taken on the road with Stone Temple Pilots. Now in 2019, they are following it up with their long-awaited full-length Cañón on Oct. 18th.
Though the lead single “Swimming at Night” is in English the record will feature Spanish-language songs as well by way of guitarist and singer Nic Perea, wanting to let his Mexican heritage take the forefront on certain tracks.
