What's This?

Producer and singer-songwriter Cheryl Chow, who releases captivating electronic and R&B music under the pseudonym Cehryl, is one of our new favorite artists. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she’s a rising junior at Berklee College of Music in Boston studying music production and engineering. We’re ferociously stoked to debut Cehryl’s newest effort “Fractals,” the lead single on her forthcoming second EP Delusions, which will premiere on IC next Friday. “So the circuit goes,” she sings on the track’s opening line, “The ride is surreal / My hand’s on the wheel/ But I don’t have control.” It’s a tender, tumultuous, downtempo number–melding elements of trap, R&B and soul that recall the piano-centered electronic experiments of James Blake.
