By this point, it seems like everyone including your mother has been caught up in a Daft Punk tizzy. After the duo knocked it out of the park a couple of weeks ago with their electrifying dance single, “Get Lucky,” the pair have remained relatively quite. But, if you have been following the onslaught of Punk gossip at all this week, you will know that suspected clips are being released left, right and center. For obvious reasons, we have yet to get a full, clear cut from Random Access Memories, but our most recent discovery proves to be the most credible as of yet.
The track in question is titled, “Giorgio By Moroder,” and is groovy taste of what we can expect to hear from their upcoming album. After a recent interview with France’s Obessesion Magazine, Daft Punk were quoted as saying this:
The idea behind the track was to make a sort of documentary based on an interview we did with him. Giorgio Moroder’s voice was recorded with different microphones from different periods. We finally ended with over three hours worth of interview material in which he recalls his life as a musician. This track is a great metaphore on musical freedom.
While there is a great deal of evidence to give this leak some validity, you can never be too sure in this day and age. And, before you get too excited, bear in mind that this is an extremely low-quality cut, but nevertheless, a believable one. Listen below.
