John Legend‘s presence on the music scene has been relatively quiet in recent years since the release of the crooner’s Grammy-winning record, Wake Up! (which he made with The Roots back in 2010), and a recent collaboration he had with Ludacris on the single, “Tonight (Best You Ever Had).”
After these past few years though it’s nice to hear “the Legend” pulling himself out of a stint and pushing forth with an excellent new single. The new single which goes under the title of “Who Did That To You,” brings back Legend‘s early-inspired soulful presence and finger-snapping rhythms that saw him grab such a following through the years, in-addition to a closet full of Grammys.
Being that this is the only single yet to be released from the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated new film, Django Unchained, we can only imagine that the rest of singles that follow will fair just as well. So, you best believe, we will certainly have our eyes peeled.
