As mysterious and dark as their name entails, Sir Sly have certainly learned to live up to their persona with deep, emotive, pop/rock ballads that have levied them a heavy following in their mere 4-months of existence.
After breaking the ice with their warm, yet dark single “Ghost,” Sir Sly have been making a quick push back into the spotlight to gain some circulation around their forthcoming 7″ to be released on Neon Gold Records.
Included on the A-side of that record, Sir Sly will have their heavily triumphant single “Gold” pressed within the bevels, while on the B-side the trio will include “Where I’m Going” — the freshest single from the band’s Soundcloud page.
Centered around shifting synths, pounding drums and a milky transition into the chorus, this foggy single finds comfort in carrying a bombastic sound through a dark-rock backdrop. As a result, I find myself placing “Where I’m Going” right in the center of a cemetery scene within a movie. While this isn’t a bad thing, I can’t help but get chills down my spine everytime I listen to this.
