What's This?

Boston rock trio Du Vide are about to drop a new album next month. The forthcoming LP, 2015-2016, is the result of frontman Alex Fatato’s partnering with drummer J. Thatcher May (aka Sports Coach) and Mateo Garcia (of Gauntly, Saccharine, Leaner). We’re friggin’ pumped to premiere the record’s second single, “Cherry Coke,” downward sloping garage rock that oscillates between dejected heaviness and wistful beach rock vibes. Sometimes verging on emo, the band’s cautious optimism shines through during “Cherry Coke”‘s more melodic moments. Listen to the new track below and pre-order 2015-2016 here.

*A previous version of this article stated that Du Vide are from Richmond, Virginia, but they’re actually from Boston, Massachusetts.
