What's This?

Henry Krinkle has a habit of concocting cooler than cool remixes for some of today’s biggest names in music, including Ellie Goulding, Clean Bandit, and now, Ella Henderson. More often than not, Krinkle’s remixes are breezy, deep-house confections that are better suited to a club than they are a roller derby—but not this time around. Krinkle’s remix of Henderson’s “Mirror Man” is a superbly chic slice of nu-disco that calls to mind The Commodores or KC & the Sunshine Band. The vivacious beat and swanky brass sample give this remix a refreshing, but authentic disco vibe that could only be inspired by the late, great disc jockeys of Studio 54. I’m no expert, but I’d say this remix will comfortably fit inside your dance playlist.
