What's This?

Parisian future soul producer FKJ recently announced the release of his debut album, French Kiwi Juice, via Paris based independent electronic label Roche Musique. He’s remixed Lianne La Havas and Bondax and collaborated with likeminded producer-musicians Darius and Jordan Rakei. Now, on the first single from French Kiwi Juice, FKJ has included his own voice in the mix for the first time. “Better Give U Up,” without a doubt FKJ’s most impressive solo effort to date, demonstrates his clear aptitude as a singer-songwriter. The track is jive to the max, adorned with limp synth grooves and slinky funk rhythms, made all the more fascinating by FKJ’s heady, endearingly delicate alto.
