What's This?

Russian born but Los Angeles-based pop-shapeshifter AYLA is not wasting any of the heat she got from her break out single “Animals,” following it up with another scorcher with her new tune “Half of the Sun.” Like all of the Russian songstresses’ music, “Half of the Sun” shows off her undeniable pop sensibility that flows seamlessly along with her worldly ear for diverse music.

AYLA’s personal story is as complex as her sound. She was born and raised in Russia and spent much of her early adulthood working for Russia’s largest state news agency, RIA Novosti. All of that experience lead her to become the public relations spokesperson for a prominent politician, but none of that stuck.

AYLA decided to leave her more than comfortable life in Russia for an uncertain one in the American music industry and what we are getting now are merely her baby steps into what will undoubtedly be a stellar musical career.
