Louisiana’s Froyo Ma has maintained our attention for a minute, kept us on out toes with his fresh beats and still fresher collabs with the likes of Mulherin and Charlotte Day Wilson. Today, the electronic producer uploaded a new collaborative track that features Nick Hakim on bass guitar and vocals. “Home Phone” is a delicately percolating joint that adorns Froyo’s signature lo-fi haze on Hakim’s supremely soulful vocals. Froyo wrote the following note about “Home Phone”:
6th grade, beginning of fall, weathers starting to get nice, parents check u out from school bc ur feeling sick so you sit around at home & watch fairly odd parents/daytime tv & drink a pumpkin smoothie.
Froyo also wrote in the track’s descritption that he will now release solo music under his birth name, Zack Villere; the Froyo Ma alias will be reserved for production credits on other artists’ songs. Stream “Home Phone” below.
