What's This?

While Brendan Hagan Opoku Ware’s most recent effort, featuring Seattle’s legendary SOULECTION artist Sango, is more than ideal for the fast-approaching open-air festival season, he submits himself to darker and more urgent themes on his exclusively solo work as Hagan. Released last fall on Gobstopper Records, Hagan’s three-track Waves EP is forward-moving club music, as much informed by London’s penchant for deep house as the electrifying polyrhythms teeming from modern Ghana.

Stream “On Sight”, a hyper-pop techno stomper which wouldn’t sound out of a place in mainstream ballroom vogue event, closes out this searing release.
