What's This?

Montreal electronic musician Ouri (a frequent collaborator of neighboring electro-IDM sensation CRi) is back with a prodigious new dance record called Superficial. The gorgeously produced eight-track LP dropped last week via Make It Rain Records. Superficial‘s length ranges in mood and tempo while still managing to crystallize a uniquely crafted sound–one that borrows heavily from overseas club styles like grime, jungle and trip-hop.

Some of Ouri’s fiercest tracks feature vocalists like friend and collaborator Odile Myrtil along with Josianne Boivin’s MUNYA project. The latter delivers one of her strongest performances on “No Fight,” a high-octane pop song built for the club.
