What's This?

While one might have gotten around to listening to a popular song called “Hey Jude” at one point in their lifetime, its Maltese indie-surf rock band Hey Sus! that one should really be listening to. All the way from Malta, Mike Stivala and Andrew Vassallo formed the band in the summer of 2011 with the aim of creating an electronicly beat driven surf band. With the duo both being on guitars, many of their songs are backed by gauzy guitar riffs and the  occasional tinge of a notched-up rhythm. This usually occurs when one of the pair jumps on a set of drums (usually not their own) and pump up the bass-drum whilst still playing the guitar.

At the moment the band has no concrete plans on recording an album, however, the duo often release their jangly lo-fi tracks on the internet in-hopes of eventually compiling together a full-length EP or album. One of those such single is, “The Press.”
