What's This?

San Francisco-based electronic dance producer Nick Monaco (who recently altered the sultry groove of Mizan‘s “Looking For”) and Kingston, Jamaica-based guitarist David Marston dropped their Island Life project this week. The two-track release was conceived a few months ago, while the two were hanging out on the Blue Mountains above Kingston, and these lush, minimal house jams feel utterly inspired by the place they were made. The project was inspired by “tropical fruits, thunderous nights, exotic figures, and post card scenery” and is, according to Nick and David, “the freshest shit you’ll hear all year.” Listen to “Cherry Juice” and “It’s The Time (feat. Craig Williamson).”
