Jacques Greene and Tinashe - Painted Faces

Since his 2011 EPs, AnotherGirl and Lay It Down, Jacques Greene has matured into a seasoned, independent producer-artist whose work has been massively under appreciated over the past year. His 2012 mixtape Concealer (now available on vinyl through Vase Records) established this claim with minimal, pop-accessible house tracks like “Faded” and “Perfume.” Jacques Greene‘s newest track, “Painted Faces” is a high-production, genre transcending trapstep number that blends stylistic house elements from his previous material with R&B-oriented vocal accompaniment from Tinashe. The duo were put together for the track by the musical collaboration initiative Yours Truly (also responsible for “Bo Peep (Do You Right)” by Shlohmo and Jeremih). You can watch them working in the studio this January on the video below.
