What's This?

Berlin’s electronic-pop aesthete, JATA, has been one of the most sorely overlooked acts in the last year. With an impressive four-track EP under his belt, and a second on the way, this hard-working producer/vocalist has captured the attention of some, including ourselves. A couple of weeks ago, we shared his dark, pulsating banger “Ebony” on our YouTube channel, after combing through SoundCloud. The response was overwhelmingly positive, so it only felt natural to share his latest gift, “Apocalypse.” The elegant, piano-driven ballad is the kind of heady offering that will send blood rushing through your veins. With its oscillating synths, sonorous beats and stirring keys, it toes the line somewhere between ominous and mesmerizing.
