What's This?

A nostalgia for 1980s darkwave synth pop (à la Depeche Mode, New Order, and Ministry) runs through Philadelphia duo Korine‘s newest single “Feel The Pain.” The nostalgia extends to the rest of their music (check out their reverent cover of the Crystal CastlesRobert Smith cover “Not In Love”), but the prevailing message of their newly premiered track is a carpe diem-esque declaration about living in the moment–even if it destroys you. Listen below.

Korine’s debut album New Arrangements is out October 31 via Born Loser Records. Stream Korine’s Corsage EP below.
