What's This?

A few years back, UK singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Tom Misch released a track called “Follow You,” featuring his little sister Laura Misch on alto saxophone. Since then, Laura has assembled an impeccably tight jazz-soul fusion band comprised of musicians like Alfa Mist (Rhodes piano, production), Carmody (BV’s), Jim Macrae (drums), and Kaya Thomas-Dyke (bass). Laura wrote and sang on the five-track EP, Shaped By Who We Knew, which she also produced (with the help of Mist and Macrae). Similar to Christian Scott‘s Stretch Music, Laura’s debut release explores a sonic space that embraces but does not limit itself to jazz.
