What's This?

A collaboration between Stewart Bronaugh and drummer Joshua Jaeger (Angel Olsen’s band), Lionlimb are set to release their debut album, Shoo via Bayonet Records on March 4th. Its lead single “Domino” is a treasure of jazz-esque piano strokes and plodding drum guides, the arrangement and closing lead guitar passage not far removed from the sounds of the late great pop shaman’s 1971 glam-rock classic Hunky Dory. In Bronaugh’s observation of Lionlimb’s impending debut, he’s not sure “what kind of music we’d be making if David Bowie hadn’t ever put out records.” Driven by a subtle composition encompassing shears of saxophone phrasings and an alluring voice, “Domino” is an impressive preface for Shoo. Enjoy.
