I’ve always had a soft spot when it comes to instrumental music. The
feelings and pictures musicians can draw without words will always
amaze me. “Chocolate” is no exception to this; within the first ten
seconds of this song, it will instantly sound familiar. It strikes up
nostalgic feelings like few songs can. It takes me back to when I was
a kid and I would listen to my older brother and his friends jamming
in the basement. That’s one of the greatest qualities of this song;
it’s not an, overproduced song with too many electric sounds.
“Chocolate” sounds just like a bunch of friends coming together and
having a great time jamming. It’s simple honest music. The New Tigers definitely feel at home and comfortable with this sound, which holds great resemblance to other indie rock groups such as Real Estate.
