What's This?

New York City’s post-punk outfit SKATERS unveiled their fantastic debut effort Manhattan in early 2014 and now the band is back with a new single. Having recently parted ways with Warner Bros, who released their first LP, SKATERS are reveling in their new creative freedom. The band recorded their sophomore album independently, and have plans to drop it sometime next year. SKATERS’ newest self-released song is a piano-driven, string-laden rock ballad called “Mental Case.” Watch the music video featuring Alia Shawkat (of Arrested Development fame), where are unfortunate heroine is forced to witness a hilarious abundance of PDA. Listen to the three-month-old, one-off track “Save Her Something Special” and watch the video for “Mental Case” up there.

Stream SKATERS‘ debut LP Manhattan below.
