What's This?

Great Lake Swimmers are a Toronto-based folk-rock group and a permanent fixture in Canada’s rich musical landscape. The brainchild of lead-singer and songwriter Tony Dekker, GLS have a long, storied history of winding beautiful storylines around intricately-layered backdrops like twine around a spindle. With their forthcoming EP, Swimming Away, they promise to continue this approach while expanding on their existing sound.

Today, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of their latest single, “Condition White,” a gentle, hip-swaying lullaby, built around Dekker’s soothing harmonies and a delicate guitar arrangement. Like the song before it, “Condition White” has that old, timeless charm that has become a pillar of their sound. In fact, it sort of captures the feeling of rocking back and forth on a motionless boat, as the artwork above might suggest.

Swimming Away will be released digitally on March 25th in Canada and April 8th everywhere else. GLS will also embark on a Canadian tour at the end of the month, before making the trip to Europe. Find all of their tour dates below.
