Toronto solo act River Tiber was one of our favorite artists of 2016, and “Acid Test” (off his debut self-released LP, Indigo) was one of our favorite tracks. It’s a weird one–dramatic and densely arranged R&B with a strong, psychedelic undertow. For the music video, Tommy Paxton-Beesley traveled to the Mediterranean coast to capture himself among the naturally stunning cityscape of a Moroccan town. Post-production grants this visual the surreal touch that the track demands–a giant, 3D model of River Tiber hunched over and holding his face in his hands. Watch it above.
