After the release of his debut EP, Escapades, Nottingham resident Saint Raymond caught the attention of Asylum Records. It was with Asylum Records that this young artist released his next two EPs, Ghosts and Young Blood, in preparation for his debut album, Young Blood, set for release on June 29th.
The first two singles off the upcoming album, “Be There” and “Come Back To You,” give a brief glimpse of what listeners can expect from the rest of the album. Both tracks are uplifting and immediately catchy rock anthems that find Raymond channeling bands like Two Door Cinema Club and Wildlife Control, while injecting his own brand of tropical-pop.
With “Come Back To You,” in particular, Raymond has shown a significant amount of growth since the release of his debut EP. If the increasingly strong vocals, smooth transitions and a finely-tuned production on this track are present throughout the album, it will be a real contender in the indie-pop realm this year.
