I’ll admit, I’m a slave to hype every now and then. Most of the time I can resist the urge and avoid falling victim to this crippling disease, but with Snakehips, I can’t but help myself. Feeding into their every move, I become lost in their shimmering electronic productions, only to find myself up in the clouds. With their newest single, “Days With You,” the compulsion is that much stronger thanks to Sinead Harnett, whose velvety vocals are left to bolster the duo’s sugary, hip-hop-infused production.
This isn’t the first time these two have crossed paths, though: Those of you that frequent the duo on SoundCloud will know that they fell onto the liner notes of Harnett‘s previous single, “No Other Way,” a seriously confident slice of neo-soul that was laced in the duo’s signature blend of bouncing beat and flirtatious rhythms. Instead of adjusting their near-perfect formulae, the have pair fine-tuned their sound in “Days With You,” keeping the summery flavour intact and letting the passion spill of Harnett‘s glossy lips.
