What's This?

Last month, Swedish-Peruvian R&B vocalist Snoh Aalegra dropped her retro-inspired mini album, Don’t Explain, featuring To Pimp A Butterfly‘s James Fauntleroy. Picking up where she left off with her RZA collab on last year’s “Emotional,” which was built around a sample of The Emotions’ “If You Think It (You May As Well Do It),” Snoh’s new material delves deeper into her cultivated old school soul aesthetic (think Selah Sue meets Kali Uchis). Snoh sources another Wu-Tang vet for “In Your River,” the first full track on Don’t Explain. Produced by Christian Rich, the song heavily samples BADBADNOTGOOD‘s instrumentation on Ghostface Killah’s Sour Soul-cut “Stark’s Reality.”
