Beloved Brooklyn artist Solo Woods returns with his highly anticipated debut EP. The five-track self-titled effort is a beautifully conceived record full of striking and ferociously intimate guitar songs that embrace R&B and alternative soul–somewhere between Nick Hakim and Emily King.
The EP’s second song, “Lady In My Head,” is among our favorite tracks from this fantastic record. It’s a simple yet powerful number, distinguished by the room Solo allows his voice to occupy on the recording. He sings the hell out of this remarkable, celestial soul track.
In addition to four previously unreleased tracks, Solo Woods also includes a live rendition of “Powers,” a tribute to the power of femininity and creation that he dedicates to his mother.
