St. Lucia‘s latest single “Dancing On Glass” has stacked up a sizeable play count in my library over the last few months. So, to celebrate the launch of our new website, I figured I’d show it some long overdue lovin’. Arguably one of the band’s catchiest songs to date, “Dancing On Glass” picks up where their last album, When The Night, left-off. It’s a pure, sugar-coated pop record with just enough flair to keep it from sounding uninspired. And like any good piece of ear candy, it comes wrapped in playful hooks, saccharine synths and a chorus that could tower over the tallest of buildings. In other words, if Phil Collins made a song for the modern era, it might sound something like this.
