What's This?

It’s hard to believe Canadian electronic duo Junior Boys formed in the last millennium (1999 to be exact). Their music doesn’t sound the least bit dated or worn out–if anything, it’s grown and evolved. Earlier this year, the band released an excellent full-length called Big Black Coat. Tomorrow, the Boys will drop their newest effort, Kiss Me All Night. The four-track EP is a stark, suave, club-ready release that pairs intimate hooks with bold, concussive beats. The EP’s highlight might be the title track and closing number, “Kiss Me All Night,” a frenetic synth-pop cut that’s shifts the pitch of Jeremy Greenspan’s vocals to sound distorted yet female. The track sounds like a leftover from sessions with collaborator Jessy Lanza, but it’s found a decent home among these other excellent songs.
